Heirloom Prosthesis

Throughout the exhibition the artist performs actions of stripping down an heirloom Triumph motorcycle, cleaning, buffing, arranging parts and reassembly. The viewers access the installation though a gap at the base of the room. Two photo-collage strips emerge from slits in the wall. One is a stretched image of the artist’s father at the same age performing similar tasks. The other is a repeating expanding and contracting string of florets.
